General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies’ NAB outdoor display will include an extensive line of satellite communications products for commercial, satellite newsgathering, government and homeland security applications. The annual National Association of Broadcasters show (NAB 2010) will be held April 12-15 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada. SATCOM Technologies will feature its SATCOM product displays in its Outdoor Booth #OE2315.

Model C180M TVSAT Mobile Antenna

The VertexRSI lightweight 1.8-meter mobile antenna is designed for transmit and receive operation in C and Ku band. This transportable antenna consists of a single-piece composite reflector mounted on a cable drive elevation-over azimuth positioner. This results in a high value antenna with good stiffness and the requisite performance under wind loading conditions. The complete antenna system can be interfaced with most lightweight vehicle structures for the purpose of mobile SNG applications.

Model C135M Ku-Band Antenna


The VertexRSI lightweight 1.35-meter mobile antenna is a compact design for worldwide transmit and receive operation in Ku-band. This transportable antenna also is comprised of a single piece carbon fiber composite reflector mounted on a cable drive elevation-over-azimuth positioner. The state-of-the-art design provides exceptionally low sidelobe and cross-polarization performance, well within INTELSAT and EUTELSAT requirements.

The complete antenna system can be interfaced with most lightweight vehicles for mobile Satellite News Gathering (SNG) applications.

Model C139M Transportable Ka and Ku-Band Antenna

The VertexRSI 1.39-meter mobile antenna is another lightweight, compact design ideally suited for worldwide transmit and receive operation in Ku-band. Meeting INTELSAT and EUTELSAT requirements, the state-of-the-art design delivers exceptionally low sidelobe and cross-polarization performance.

The Model C139M antenna system also can be interfaced easily with most lightweight vehicle satellite news gathering applications.

Model C120F Ultra-light Flyaway Antenna

SATCOM Technologies ultra-lightweight 1.2-meter C120F flyaway antenna is designed for worldwide transmit and receive operation in Ku, X and Ka-band. This portable antenna consists of a segmented composite reflector on a high power SSPB integrated mount. This configuration results in an extremely low-weight and airline checkable antenna product with superior stiffness and high performance under wind loading conditions.

Warrior SMT Terminal


SATCOM Technologies’ newest member of its Warrior family of satellite communications terminals: the Warrior SMT (Small Manportable Terminal) will be showcased in a static display. Powered by SmartSAT Technology™ - the new, software-defined 'smart' positioner is designed for simple and fast satellite acquisition. The Warrior SMT is the easiest, full-featured SATCOM terminal to field.

The Warrior SMT provides secure or non-secure communications over Ku-band (Ka and X-band available) and is fully equipped to handle high speed data transmissions.

Transit Cases


General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies’ durable, lightweight composite rackmount transit cases are available in a variety of sizes to protect sensitive electronic and communications components.

The 2400 and 2800 Series rackmount cases meet Military Specifications for electronic enclosures (MIL-STD-810F) and can accommodate electronic components from 3 to 14 rack units. Both the 24" (60.9cm) and 28" (71.1 cm) transit cases feature slide-mounted 19-inch (48.2cm) racks. All have watertight closures recessed hardware and removable covers in either 3" (7.6cm) standard or optional 5" (12.7 cm) depths.
