Enhanced APCO Project 25 Testing, R2600 Features and AutoTune Software Demos Highlight Booth #15057

General Dynamics Communications Test Equipment Sales Associates:

We're using our SATCOM Technologies Communicator email newsletter to provide a brief rundown of the exciting new products our Communications Test Equipment business will demonstrate at this year's IWCE (International Wireless Communications Expo) show March 28-30 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Be sure to alert your customers to the new products and software we will be demonstrating at the show and invite them to visit our Booth #15057. Click Here to obtain free exhibit hall passes at IWCE.

Enhanced APCO Project 25 Test Capability
General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies will introduce a powerful new hardware platform that significantly expands and enhances our support for APCO Project 25 digital radio technology. Make sure your customers come by our booth for a demonstration of Data Logging - the first of many new P25 tools enabled by the new platform. Data Logging is a new PC application that allows radio technicians to view, store, and analyze P25 data streams to assure the integrity of these vital communications systems.

We also will announce future P25 enhancements including Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) with constellation display and Canned Messaging. The EVM option will allow both in-depth analysis and quantification of P25 transmitter and receiver impairment, and a quick, intuitive visual display of signal quality. The Canned Messaging option will generate predetermined "canned" messages to verify P25 text messaging capability.

R2600 Series Physical Enhancements
While IWCE celebrates its 30th anniversary, we will mark our first showing of a totally new look for our R2600 family of communications systems analyzers. Enhancements include:

  • Protective bumpers surrounding the entire unit
  • Ergonomic improvements to the handle and front panel spin knobs
  • Modernized color scheme for the chassis and front panel
  • Elevated interface connectors to allow the unit to rest vertically or horizontally

NEW AutoTune Software Suite
AutoTune is SATCOM Technologies' next generation automated radio test and alignment software. We will demonstrate this exciting new product for the first time at IWCE. AutoTune allows technicians to test and align radios in a matter of minutes, and provides a nicely formatted report of the "before and after" test results that can be stored for future reference. A common user interface for all AutoTune-capable radios will allow the user to select the model under test from a single screen and switch from one radio platform to another without having to open a new application.

SATCOM Technologies has big plans for our test equipment product line. The products and software included in this note are just the first of many new products and improvements to our existing product line that we will be announcing in the near future. Be sure your customers see these important new offerings and hear about our exciting plans for the future at IWCE 2007!
